FAQ
HOW DO I (OR WE) GET STARTED?
Give me a call at 646-265-1555 and speak to me personally to set up an appointment. When you call, we’ll discuss briefly what’s going on for you and why you’re seeking therapy at this time.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I’m conveniently located in the garment district close to Penn Station at 488 7th Avenue (between 36th and 37th Streets) near the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, N, R, Q, W, B, D, F and V trains.
WHAT IS THE FEE PER SESSION?
I don’t believe the fee should prevent you from seeing a therapist. Please call me and we’ll discuss what my standard fee is, what your circumstances are, and see if we can come up with something that works for both of us.
DOES MY INSURANCE COVER THERAPY?
Insurance may cover some of the cost of therapy. While you are responsible for the fee at the time of the session, I will provide a form for you each month, known as a super-bill, which you may submit to your insurance carrier for direct reimbursement.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept cash or check at the time of service.
HOW LONG DOES EACH SESSION LAST?
I generally schedule 50 minutes sessions once a week. Occasionally, extended sessions are helpful (most often for couples or families) and those can be arranged ahead of time.
ARE THERAPY SESSIONS CONFIDENTIAL?
I take confidentiality very seriously. I understand that in order to feel comfortable, you need to know that your confidence will be protected. There are a few instances, mostly concerning your safety or the safety of others, where confidentiality can not be maintained. Those circumstances aside, I protect your confidentiality to ensure a safe therapeutic environment.
